Bio
David was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada and currently lives in Barrie, Ontario. He started playing the drums at the age of 8 and during David's early years of drums, he was an active member of local bands, orchestras and community groups being exposed to musical styles such as rock, jazz, metal and classical music. He began receiving private instruction at the age of 10, where he learnt how to read and develop his skills, whilst being influenced by many drummers such as Keith Moon, John Bonham, Bill Bruford, Dennis Chambers, Steve Gadd, Joey Jordison, Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan and many more.
After finishing school, David completed a Bachelor of Arts in Music at The Algoma Conservatory, Algoma University. David also played in and was recorded on various original projects in his local scene, such as JEHR - "JEHR EP", and FULLER - "II", in addition to working as a session musician. David's passion for teaching began at his university conservatory, where he taught individualized percussion instruction (2019-2025). In 2025, David took on a music director role for a domestic tour that spanned over several dates across Ontario. Currently, David plays with metal bands Convergence and Maynard Hayes, while teaching drums under his own practice in Barrie Ontario.
